Lady like

Top: Banana Republic (similar)
Blazer: Loft
Pants: Express
Shoes: Cole Haan (similar)

I've been searching high and low for a chanel-like blazer. I found this during black friday at the Loft. The best part is so soft and comfortable. I feel like such a lady wearing it.

Ruby Red

Top: Banana RepublicSkirt: Elie Tahari (similar)
Shoes: Banana Republic (similar)

I was trying to recreate this look from the BR site, however I didn't like the way my stockings looked against such a light pair of shoes. I decided to throw these on instead.

As you can tell, I'm in desperate need of a new camera.  New camera and some announcements coming soon ....stay tuned!!!

Change it up

Where: Out and about
Sweater: GapJeans: Arden B (similar)
Boots: Rocket Dog via Marshall's (similar)

There has been an unusual heat wave in the NYC area lately. It's almost December and I went out for a stroll with F wearing only this sweater. Speaking of this sweater, I got it recently at the Gap at 60% off! I also picked up these boots at Marshall's. My sister actually talked me into buying them. I didn't think I could wear them because of my baby ankles....apparently I was wrong. Thanks Sees!

Cover up

Where: Work
Coat: Zara
Pants: Victoria's Secret
Shoes: Cole Haan (similar)

I was at Zara two week's ago.  They were changing the window arrangements and I saw this coat...gasp! I had to have it immediately. They didn't have my size (yah I know!) so I pulled out my ipad and ordered it online, paid no shipping, and got it a few days later. Gosh I love that they have online shopping, my credit card...not so much.

Ruby Red

Where: Work
Dress: Elie Tarahi (similar)
Sweater: Banana RepublicShoes: Cole Haan (similar)
Watch: Michelle

I fell in love with this sweater as soon as I saw it. You see, being top heavy, I often have to create an illusion of a bigger bottom in order to create balance. This sweater does just that! The ruffles are perfectly positioned on my mid-section, not too high and not too low.

Office Mod

Where: Work
Dress: Ann Taylor (similar)
Necklace: Banana Republic (similar)
Booties: Rebecca Taylor (similar)
Watch: Michelle

I absolutely feel in love with this dress when I saw it in the Ann Taylor add.  My excitement doubled when I found out they also carried it in Petite.  You see, I ALWAYS have to raise hems on my dresses (I hate my short legs), but I didn't have to touch this dress.  It went from the rack to my body wihout any alterations!

Gala...Ooh la la

Where: Sass Foundation Gala
Dress: Jill Stuart
Shoes: Christian LouboutinChanel: Similar
Bracelets: A mix of bangles I put together.  Great starting point

I had an opportunity to attend the Sass Foundation Gala at the Plaza Hotel in NYC.  The foundation's mission is to help in the fight against cancer and blood related diseases.  The honorees were cancer survivors that shared very inspirational stories.  I admire them for the courage to fight off this disease and the wonderful doctors that made it happen.

About the outfit.  I had very little time to find a dress (I love my boyfriend for springing this up on me last minute)  My wonderful Sees endured a shopping afternoon with me and we found this lovely frock at Bloomingdales.  I added some investment pieces from my own closet and this adorable faux fur cropped jacket....sorry didn't get a picture with it.

Office Sparkles

Where: Work
Suit: Banana Republic
Top: J Lo for Kohls
Boots: Via Spiga (similar)

I try to be as creative as I can to make my office attire a little more fun, but sometimes I just NEED to wear a suit.  With the holidays on their way (can you believe it?!!)  I thought it was time to start bringing my sparkles back.  The sequins on this top are not really shiny so it was appropriate for the office.

Pop of color

Where: Work
Top: Bebe (similar)
Pants: JCrew (similar)
Blazer: Banana Republic (similar)
Shoes: Cole Haan

Sorry for the lack of posts, work has been super stressful lately....I guess that's why they call it a "job" right?

About the outfit, this top is SUPER old, but I refuse to let it go.  It goes with me from summer to winter and everything in between, it's just so versatile.  I thought I'd add a pop of color with this bright red blazer.  I'm trying not to fall back into my winter darks.

Lounging in a Maxi Skirt

Where: Wroking from home
Top: Express - I don't see it online but it's definitely in the stores. Here's a similar one
Skirt: ExpressShoes: ExpressNecklace: H&M

Ok, I'm not really lounging around, but I am working from home. When I work from home I end up working more than usual so being comfortable is a must. I always try to get dressed, it helps me be more productive...it also avoids 5 pm rolling around and I'm still in PJs. I didn't plan this head-to-toe Express look but I recently picked up this sweater and shoes with this skirt in mind.

It's so hard being Green

Where: Work
Top: Ann Taylor (similar with bow)
Skirt: Banana Republic
Tights: Target
Shoes: Stuart Weitzman (similar)
Necklace: Banana Republic

Ann Taylor is having a 50% off sale on already discounted items! I bought this top over the weekend for $50! I was also extremely impressed with their new collection. I'm trying to stick to my commitment of only buying things on sale, so I really hope this little number doesn't sell out before the next sale.

Falling for Mustard

Where: Work
Top: Gap
Skirt: JCrew (similar)
Belt: Zara (similar)
Shoes: Banana Republic
Watch: Michelle
Necklace: JCrew (not similar but I LOVE it)

Looking back at this week's outfits I realized that I wore blue the ENTIRE week. The weather seems to affect my outfit selections and since it's getting a little cooler here in NJ, I'm drawn towards my darker colors. Today I decdided to break out of that mold and wear A TON of color...so here it is!!! You like?

I love this outfit because it's a great office-to-cocktail look. At the end of the day, I can take off the blazer, add some fun jewelry, maybe change my shoes...or maybe not (I love these shoes!) and head out to a fun happy hour!
